Abstract
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the personality traits of finance major cadets based on the Five-Factor Model of Personality, their inclination towards financial occupations (accounting, auditing, treasury, and comtroller), and the relationship between these two variables.
Methodology: This descriptive-analytical study employed quantitative methods. The population consisted of all finance major students at Imam Ali Officers' University. Data was collected using a standardized questionnaire and analyzed through statistical tests.
Findings: The findings revealed that finance major cadets exhibited favorable personality traits and a positive inclination towards accounting, auditing, treasury, and comtroller positions. Furthermore, personality traits such as agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness to experience had a positive impact on the inclination towards comtroller positions.
Originality: The research findings can be beneficial for military commanders and managers in making decisions related to the recruitment and assignment of finance officers, as well as providing career and educational counseling for finance major cadets.
