Abstract
Human power is the only available resource that can provide the basis for increasing the performance level of the organization if properly managed. Therefore the aim of the current research was to designing a police citizenship behavior model based on improving the organizational commitment of employees. Using Cochran formula, the statistical sample was estimated to be equal to (n=255), which were selected as available sampling. In order to collect data, two questionnaires of citizenship behavior of Oregon and Kanoski (1996) and organizational commitment of Allen and Meier (1993) were used. The face and content validity of the questionnaires were determined by using the corrective comments of management professors, and the reliability of both questionnaires was obtained using Cronbach's alpha test (α=0.76) and (α=0.85). The research method is a correlation type that was implemented in the field. In order to analyze the data, descriptive indices and Kolmogorov Smironov statistical tests, Pearson correlation coefficient, regression analysis and path analysis were used in SPSS and LISREL statistical software. The results showed that there is a significant difference between altruism dimensions (r=0.314, P≥0.01), work conscientiousness, civil behavior and politeness and considerationhave a positive and significant relationship with organizational commitment. On the other hand, the results of the regression analysis also showed that the dimensions of altruism, conscientiousness, politeness and consideration are qualified to predict organizational commitment. Also, the results of the path analysis model design showed that citizenship behavior has a positive and significant effect on teachers' organizational commitment.
